Swap
The Orvex Swap Engine delivers an efficient, optimized trading experience by aggregating multiple liquidity sources, both internal and external. This system gives traders the best possible routes by combining Orvex's internal liquidity with external sources when needed.
How It Works
The Orvex Swap Engine analyzes multiple liquidity pathways to provide optimal execution. It primarily uses Orvex's classic and concentrated liquidity pools, while selectively incorporating external liquidity if it improves pricing.
-
Classic Liquidity Swap: Built on a UniV2-style model, Classic liquidity sources trades from evenly distributed pools. This design is simple, predictable, and ideal for traders seeking stable execution without managing price ranges. See Classic Liquidity for details.
-
Concentrated Liquidity Swap: Liquidity is focused into specific price ranges, improving capital efficiency by up to 10x. Traders benefit from tighter spreads, reduced slippage, and stronger price execution — especially for larger swaps. See Concentrated Liquidity section for details.
-
External Liquidity Aggregation: Orvex can source additional external liquidity to enhance execution quality. If external sources cannot offer a better outcome, the swap automatically defaults to Orvex's internal AMM pools.
In short, the Swap Engine adapts to each trade to deliver flexibility, efficiency, and consistent execution.
Swap Settings: Flexible and Tailored Trading
Orvex allows users to customise how their trades are routed through the available liquidity models:
-
Only Classic Liquidity: Trades are routed exclusively through Classic (UniV2-style) pools for a familiar, traditional DEX experience.
-
Only Concentrated Liquidity: Trades use Orvex's Concentrated Liquidity pools only — maximising capital efficiency and improving pricing conditions.
-
External Liquidity Aggregation: Activates external liquidity infrastructure to enhance execution by accessing additional liquidity sources. If external routing does not improve pricing, execution falls back to Orvex's internal pools.
These settings give users full control over their trading strategy and execution preferences.
